Welcome! The purpose of this wiki is to serve as a support and collaboration tool for HISD technology teachers.

1. Welcome back to a new year! I'm sure many of you have discovered a change in the interface of A new platform - SKY! - has been implemented with a variety of new resources that will prove to increase engagement and learning in our Technology Applications classrooms.
  • The platform affords our students access to: EasyTech, ConnectedTech, Typing Pals, and new Internet Safety content.
  • We no longer subscribe to TechConnect, therefore you will not receive a new content key this year.
  • There is a separate 'district' for middle school students to interact with EasyTech. That district name is HISD. You will no longer log into the system under Houston ISD.
  • All middle school students have been uploaded into the system. All you have to do is create classes.
  • Student data will be updated every two weeks via the Chancery system.

We know that you will find these new features more streamlined for you and our students and will LOVE the added features of Don't hesitate to contact us should you need anything.
2. Don't forget we have FREE district licenses for Expression Web, Visual Studio, and Microsoft's XNA Gaming Software. You will recieve confirmation / invite from Microsoft's e-academy to register in order to download the software and to burn a DVD to install in your labs. Click here to view the user's guide.
